The Brooklyn Nets and the Houston Rockets are nearing a deal regarding the trade of James Harden, per Anthony Puccio of Front Office Sports.
As Puccio reports, the two sides have a ‘verbal agreement’ in place and are working on the details.
“The Brooklyn Nets and Houston Rockets and nearing a deal to send James Harden to Brooklyn, according to multiple sources close to FOS.
The deal isn’t “official”, but sources say a deal is in place and the two teams have a “verbal agreement”. Harden declined a two-year, $103 million extension so he could force a trade to Brooklyn,” Puccio reports.
If Harden joins the Nets, he will team up with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and Brooklyn will immediately become the grand favorite to win the 2021 NBA championship.
Harden has three years and $133M left on his contract with the Rockets.
