According to Marc Stein of The New York Times, the Los Angeles Lakers are making the trade for the Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Dennis Schroder under the assumption that they will lose point guard Rajon Rondo in free agency.
Last season, Rondo averaged 7.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, while shooting at 41.8 percent from the floor and 32.8 percent from three.
