Following the news that the Los Angeles Lakers have interest in acquiring swingman DeMar DeRozan from the San Antonio Spurs in a deal which would likely include LA’s forwards Kyle Kuzma and ex-Spurs Danny Green, award-winning journalist, TV host, and author Skip Bayless gave his opinion on the issue:

“I like this trade for the Lakers, and I love this trade for my Spurs. I remain a Kyle Kuzma fan. He has high ceiling and hasn’t even come close to bumping his head on that ceiling yet,” Bayless said.

“Kyle Kuzma has supreme self confidence. I love to watch him operate when he feels like he’s got the green light because he can go crazy hot. When it comes to DeRozan, I’ve always tried to see him as a star, but he just doesn’t get there,” the analyst added.

Last season, DeRozan averaged 22.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game, while shooting at 53.1 percent from the field and 25.7 percent from three for the Spurs.
