Sports analyst Stephen A. Smith maintains that the Golden State Warriors will return to title contention the coming season with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson back on court. Recently, he said the Dubs will be the main challenge for the Los Angeles Lakers in the West.

“Golden State is returning and I think that the Golden State Warriors are gonna be monsters because they got something to prove, Klay [Thompson] and Steph [Curry] in particular,” Smith said on SiriusXM NBA Radio.

“They got the number two overall pick in the draft. What if they get their hands on Wiseman? What if you put him on the front line with Draymond Green? And you keep Wiggins with Klay with Steph Curry. Are we gonna to definitively state that the Golden State Warriors can’t win the chip? I don’t think so.”

After five straight seasons of going to the NBA Finals and winning three of them, the Warriors dived to the bottom last season after losing Kevin Durant and being hit with injuries.
