Mountain Dew is making hot sauce now. It’s probably not something you’ve ever imagined yet if they were going to do something as far out of character, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid was always going to be the perfect endorsement.
The company’s new hot sauce is said to have been “created under the watchful eye of Joel Embiid” with the distinct citrus flavor that sets Mountain Dew apart.
Embiid announced the condiment – Joel Embiid’s Hot Habanero” via Twitter on Thursday.
“I’m always looking for that extra kick of spice when I put hot sauce on my food, and no one knows how to bring the heat better than my friends at MTN DEW,” he said in a statement (H/T thrillist.com). “We sampled so many different flavors, spices and peppers while making the sauce. It was crazy! And the best part was that we got to bring DEW fans along for the ride. I think people will agree that there is no other hot sauce like this.”
