Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe is of the opinion that the focus on beating the Lakers was the reason why the Clippers were knocked out by the Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals.
According to him, the Clippers did not give respect to other teams and were only thinking about the Lakers. As a result, they overlooked the Nuggets.
“The Nuggets built their team to play basketball. The Clippers built their team to try to beat the Lakers, but a long the way they overlooked the Nuggets. I told you, let them keep overlooking all these other teams, and see where it gets you,” Sharpe said on UNDISPUTED.
