Sports analyst Skip Bayless thinks it is possible that the Los Angeles Clippers owner Steven Ballmer will want a head coach change after the team blew a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference semifinals series against the Denver Nuggets.
The obvious candidate to replace Doc Rivers, according to Bayless, is Tyronn Lue who served as Rivers’ assistant this season.
Lue won the NBA championship in 2016 while being the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers through 2016-2018.
“I would not be surprised if Doc Rivers pays for this. I wouldn’t be surprised if Steve Ballmer says: ‘We’ve got Ty Lue sitting right there,'” Bayless said on UNDISPUTED.
