Lonzo Ball has high goals for himself next season. The 22-year-old New Orleans Pelicans point guard is confident he could win the Most Improved Player award.

After leaving the Los Angeles Lakers via a trade last summer, Ball saw a slight increase in playing time which resulted in improved individual stats as well.

Lonzo averaged 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 7 assists per game this season compared to 9.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game last season.

Per Malika Andrews of ESPN:

Ball said his goal for next season is to make the playoffs and put himself in contention to follow in teammate Brandon Ingram’s footsteps.

“Once we get in the playoffs, we take it one game at a time,” Ball said. “For myself, I think Most Improved Player is definitely something I can get next year.”
