James Harden admitted the Lakers caught Houston off guard in the start of the game on Sunday. After their win in Game 1, the Rockets went down in Game 2 with the series being tied at one.
“They caught us off guard, but I think later in the game, we did a pretty good job of it,” Harden said on Rockets start in Game 2, via The Athletic.
Mike D’Antoni’s team went down on a 21-point deficit in the first half, but returned to the game after a 41-23 run in the third quarter.
Harden racked up 27 points and 7 assists being constantly faced with a double-team during the Sunday’s contest. The Rockets and the Lakers will meet again on Tuesday for Game 3 of the series.
