Former NBA champion and current analyst Kendrick Perkins unloaded on the Defensive Player of the Year Giannis Antetokounmpo for not guarding Jimmy Butler in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

NBA players also called out the Greek Freak for the same reason. “I haven’t seen Giannis guard anybody! This has been his history all this season, when the best player gets going I haven’t seen Giannis take on ownership,” Perkins said on ESPN’s Get Up.

The Milwaukee Bucks, who are the number one seed in the East, fell down to the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the WC SF. Antetokounmpo struggled offensively by his standards, although he nearly had a triple-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. He avoided guarding Butler who had a big night with 40 points.

According to Perkins, as a DPOY, Giannis should have taken ownership and should have guarded Butler in the fourth quarter.
