It seems the players of the Dallas Mavericks were among those that considered to leave the “bubble” and end the season.

The big man of the Mavs, Dwight Powell, made the revelation while speaking to reporters on Friday.

“A lot of guys had to really think about whether they wanted to come back, simply because this issue of police brutality and seeing lives being lost on a regular basis is very close to home for a lot of people in this league,” Powell said.

NBA players boycotted Wednesday’s and Thursday’s games in order to protest for the shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin over the weekend.

Even though some players initially considered leaving the “bubble”, they decided to stay and the playoffs will resume on Saturday.

Dallas will face the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6 on Sunday. The Clippers lead the series 3-2.
