With the season being in jeopardy and the Portland Trail Blazers one game away from the elimination, Damian Lillard left the Orlando “bubble”.

The Blazers’ superstar went back to Portland to receive further examination of his injured right knee, as the team announced Wednesday.

Lillard, who was the MVP of the seeding games in Orlando, led the Blazers to the playoffs, after an impressive run. He averaged 30 points, eight assists and four rebounds per contest during the regular season.

His return to the “bubble” is yet to be determined, as the players may continue to strike protesting against racial injustice. Even if the season continues, it’s pretty unclear if “Dame” will be able to return to action.
