According to the Greek basketball website basketblog.gr Panionios is close to signing International Serbian player of Olympiacos, Zoran Erceg on loan.Erceg has been training alone all this time and will need some time to get ready for games but Panionios is desperate for a quality front line player. Although the player has had many offers from abroad including Euroleague clubs he opted not to accept them because, as rumoured, he didn't want to leave his girlfriend behind.
But since Panionios is an Athens based team that will not be a problem and Erceg can get a lot of playing time as he will be probably be a starting five player there.
