Luka Doncic had many ups and downs during Game 1 between the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers. However, he broke a scoring record in his playoff debut.
The 21-year-old superstar from Slovenia finished the contest against the Clippers with 42 points along with 9 assists and 7 rebounds, shooting 61.9% from the field, 33.3% from three-point range and 93.3% from the free-throw line.
The 42-point game of Doncic is the best ever scoring debut in an NBA playoff game, surpassing the 36-point mark. Doncic’s unreal performance was not enough for Dallas, as it was followed by an 110-118 loss to the Clippers.
