Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is well aware that the team’s playoff chances hinge on the Portland Trail Blazers vs. Brooklyn Nets game.
After the Suns’ 128-102 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, Booker stated that he’s rooting for the Nets.
“I’m a big Brooklyn Nets fan,” Booker said in his postgame interview. “I’m gonna call my guy Tyler Johnson (Booker’s former Suns’ teammate), making sure that they gonna give it their all, but either way, I’m still proud of this team. … We came down here, you know, when our chances were slim-to-none and we didn’t listen to any of the noise. We came in, like I said, with the right mindset, locked in and won every opportunity we had.”
The Suns need the Nets to defeat the Trail Blazers in order to get the nine seed and play the Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference play-in.
