The Los Angeles Lakers secured the number one seed in the Western Conference for the first time in 10 years, but sports analyst Colin Cowherd is not high on them. The host of The Herd podcast has described the Lakers as a reality show without LeBron James.

What he saw so far in the bubble from the Purple and Gold makes him think that they will go out in the first round of the playoffs agains the Portland Trail Blazers.

Cowherd started his case by pointing at the fact that the Lakers barely beat the Nuggets with all LeBron James playing the entire fourth quarter and Denver not using a single of their starters.

“Even after that game the Lakers are still last in three-point percentage. Last in field goal percentage. And last in points in the bubble,” he continued. “That is with LeBron James, that is with Anthony Davis. … If you have LeBron and AD and you’re last in the bubble offensively, what does that tell you about the rest of the cast?”

He compared the Lakers to teams from the Eastern Conference while James was playing there. Those teams would take the number one seed and would get whacked by LeBron’s team. Cowherd sees the same fate for the number one seed Lakers this season.
