The Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard made a statement of intention on Instagram. The 34-year-old NBA veteran shared a photo of him back in the Orlando Magic days when Howard made his only NBA Finals appearance in 2009. Orlando lost the Finals to the Lakers then. But, Howard wants this season to be different.
“I promised myself if we ever got back we wasn’t gonna lose. I pray the most high gives us another chance. Right here in Orlando. Where it all started for us,” Howard added to the photo.
The Lakers are one of the main favorites to win the championship this season, along with the Clippers and Bucks. They are in a good position as they lead the Western Conference with 49 wins and 14 losses, 5.5 games back over the Clippers.
