ESPN has suspended NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski for replying “F**k you” to a U.S Senator via email.

Woj, undoubtedly ESPN’s star man when it comes to breaking basketball news, replied to a press release from Sen. Josh Hawley in which he revealed having written to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver regarding the league’s relationship with China and its refusal to support the U.S Military.

The surprising reply was screengrabbed and posted to Twitter, after which the reporter issued an apology via his own Twitter account.

Per Outkick’s Ryan Glasspiegel and New York Post columnist Andrew Marchand, ESPN has suspended Adrian Wojnarowski without pay, with the timeframe still unknown.

Woj, usually very active on twitter, has not tweeted since posting the apology on Friday.

ESPN had previously condemned Woj’s actions.

“This is completely unacceptable behavior and we do not condone it,” the network said in a statement. “It is inexcusable for anyone working for ESPN to respond in the way Adrian did to Senator Hawley. We are addressing it directly with Adrian and specifics of those conversations will remain internal.”

An ESPN spokesperson declined comment when contacted by Outkick. Neither Wojnarowski nor a representative could be reached in the wake of the report.
