Sacramento Kings are preparing to enter the NBA restart with something to prove. The Kings’ leader De’Aaron Fox expressed his frustration on the media coverage for his team during a Zoom session on Wednesday.

“I think it’s disrespectful that we don’t even stand a chance, like we shouldn’t be there,” Fox said, per NBC Sports. “The slow start is what it is, but at the end of the day, I feel like we have just as much of a chance as these other teams.”

Sacramento is considered a pretty long shot for the nation-wide media, despite having the same record with the New Orleans Pelicans (28-36).

“We’re going out there trying to win, trying to win every game, trying to make the playoffs, just like everybody else,” Fox continued. “If people don’t see us as a threat, then we let the chips fall where they may.”

The Kings will have tough competition to enter the postseason, but they are in a good position to participate in the play-in tournament.

Luke Walton’s squad had won 7 of the last 10 games, before the suspension of the season in March.
