Former NBA star Chris Bosh remembered winning his first championship with the Miami Heat in 2012 in a post on The Last Chip. Coming off of a loss to the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011 NBA Finals, the Heat, which had its big three in Bosh, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, were under tremendous pressure in 2012. Miami delivered by winning it all in 2012.

Looking back, Bosh admitted that Miami would have been “the laughing stock” if they didn’t win a championship again in 2013 against the Spurs. In the famous Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals, the Spurs were up by 3 with 5.2 seconds left to play. Then Ray Allen hit “The Shot”, a corner three to tie the game. The game went to overtime, the Heat won and forced a Game 7 which they won.

“If we didn’t win, we would have been the laughing stock of the sports world. We would have been one of the most under-achieving teams in the history of the NBA. Some of us might even have been traded,” Bosh wrote.
