Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is delighted to have Kristaps Porzingis on his team. After joining the Mavs in 2019 via a trade from the Knicks, the Latvian forward became of the team’s leaders.

There are many things that Cuban likes about Porzingis, such as his work ethic and putting the team ahead of his individual performance. But the number one thing for the Mavs owner is KP’s ability to up his game even more at crunch time.

Via Steve Serby of New York Post:

“I really like KP. He loves the game of basketball. He works his ass off. He wants to be one of the best players in the game and puts in the time. And most importantly he wants to win. He will put what the team needs ahead of stats or individual accolades to help us win. What I like best about KP is that he has that one extra level at crunch time that all great players have.”

This season Porzingis is averaging 19.2 points, 9.5 rebounds per game for Dallas who will be making a trip to Orlando for the NBA season resumption. The Mavs are yet to lock their place in playoffs.
