The Golden State Warriors are one of the 8 teams, which are not concluded to the NBA season resumption plan. As a result, the last year’s NBA finalists are planning ahead for the draft.

According to San Francisco Chronicle Conor Letourneau, Iowa State point guard Tyrese Haliburton is above LaMelo Ball in the Warriors’ draft board.

“He’s an elite passer who takes sound shots and can play off the ball when necessary. On defense, Haliburton has the length and athleticism to defend multiple positions. I’ve been told that he has emerged as the No. 1 point guard on the Warriors’ board – yes, above LaMelo Ball and Killian Hayes,” Letourneau wrote on his recent mailbag.

The Warriors are expected to have a Top-5 pick in the upcoming draft having the worst record in the NBA.

Haliburton averaged 15.2 points, 6.5 assists, and 5.9 rebounds in 22 games with Iowa State before the NCAA decided to cancel the rest of the season due to the coronavirus outbreak.
