Jeanie Buss revealed that the late Kobe Bryant approved her decision to bring Dwight Howard back to the team.
Even though the relationship between Bryant and Howard was far from perfect during the latter’s first stint with the team (2012-2013), the Lakers owner said Bryant was in favor of Howard joining the squad again.
“I’m nodding my head yes. I mean, Kobe wanted us to win. He wanted to see the Lakers win, and Kobe came to a couple games and he was happy to see Dwight, and greeted him,” Buss said in an appearance on the “Daddy Issues with Joe Buck and Oliver Hudson” podcast, via SB Nation.
Bryant died in a helicopter crash on January 26.
