Not all of the big-time players wanted to be interviewed for ‘The Last Dance’ docuseries, director Jason Hehir revealed, via Andrew Perloff. According to Hehir, Karl Malone and Byron Russell, two of the Utah Jazz greats, declined to be interviewed.
The Jazz faced the Bulls in both 1997 and 1998 NBA Finals, losing both times. The Utah – Chicago Finals were full of tension. It seems the old wounds have not healed.
Malone is considered by many as one of the best players to never win a championship. It was at least in part a ‘fault’ of Michael Jordan’s Bulls.
