Clippers don’t want to play for Mrs Sterling, NBA to “oust her”

ESPNLA.com reports that banned Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s wife, Shelly Sterling still wants to run the Los Angeles franchise but the players and coaching staff are uncomfortable with that.

That is the opinion of former Los Angeles Lakers great Magic Johnson, who was unfortunately caught in the middle of the Donald Sterling scandal, as he openly went against Mrs Sterling continuing her 50 percent ownership of the Clippers.

“Those guys are not going to play for anybody (named) Sterling,” Johnson told USA TODAY Sports and two other reporters at the Omni Dallas Hotel. “It’s just how it is. It’s hard to separate the two. … It’s going to be hard for them to sell that to the fans and definitely to the players.”
