The Los Angeles Clippers were on the receiving end of one of the biggest upsets of last season as they blew a 3-1 lead in the second round of the playoffs against the Denver Nuggets.

The Los Angeles Lakers great and current Clippers Executive board member Jerry West admitted his players did not. Though he admitted that the Nuggets were a better team.

“With the Clippers I definitely saw areas that we could be better at. But we really had a good run right before this bubble started. It looks like we are really starting to play how we are capable of. At the end we failed as a group. It just wasn’t meant to be,” West told Dave Wohl on Dave’s Front Office.

“To lose being three games to one to a team that was very good team. I don’t think the players believed that Denver was as good as we were. But they were better than we were in that bubble. More importantly, they were better than we were as a team.”
