The Cleveland Cavaliers are re-opening their practice facilities on Friday for limited individual workouts, according to cleveland.com.

Koby Altman, the Cavaliers’ general manager, informed players during Zoom calls on Wednesday afternoon per cleveland.com.

Cleveland will be one of the first teams to re-open their facilities, having the proper safety protocols in place. NBA set the 8th of May as target date for teams to open their practice ground in cities with softened stay-at-home orders.

The individual workouts are voluntary and there are strict guidelines that NBA disclosed in a memo sent to teams more than a week ago, as reported by Marc Stein.

In any case, considering the situation around the coronavirus pandemic and the several “unknowns”, players’ safety will be the NBA’s teams first priority, if the season eventually returns.
