Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler doesn’t have time to sit around watching documentaries, even though there’s not a lot to do at the moment.
The Last Dance has turned out to be the next best thing for NBA players and fans alike while the league remains inactive, with just about everyone gushing over the ESPN series. Butler, though, says he hasn’t seen it.
“I haven’t seen this MJ doc. I haven’t seen it,” the Heat forward told World Cup champion Megan Rapinoe and WNBA icon Sue Bird on their A Touch More Instagram series on the weekend. “Everybody around my house puts it on every TV. And I’m just like, you know what? Everybody is watching it, so I’m gonna go outside and work on my true calling, and I just kick a soccer ball around. … I’ve been working on my game.”
While most of the NBA is staying tuned, Butler seems to be only focused on staying ready. He wants his teammates to stay ready too, which is why he sent basketball hoops to all of them last month.
