Mike Malone, the head coach of the Denver Nuggets, talked about how long it will take for the players to return to shape and resume play.

Malone believes the players will need around 25 to 30 days to get ready to play.

“Whenever we are allowed to get back in, I’ve heard roughly 25-30 days will be a ramp-up. I keep on hearing at least a month of ramp-up time to get these guys back,” Malone said Tuesday on Zoom conference call with reporters, via Mark Medina of USA Today Sports.

The head coach of the Nuggets also hopes the NBA will give teams adequate time for players to train at team facilities before resuming the season, first through individual workouts and then through team drills and full-court scrimmaging.
