Steve Kerr talked about Michael Jordan ahead of the the premiere of the “Last Dance” documentary. Kerr took part in pretty historic moments in his basketball life being a member of the second Bulls’ three-peat team and of course the head coach of the Golden State Warriors.

Kerr spoke of what it was like to be part of Chicago’s second three-peat in an eight-year span claiming that he never felt more pressure in his life than the time playing with Michael Jordan in the same team.

“There was a pressure that came with it when you were his teammate that I had never felt from anybody,” Kerr said on a conference call. “It was a great test. You had to step up and compete and perform every day.”

The Warriors’ head coach noted that no one wanted to be left behind in that Chicago Bulls team with Jordan pushing everybody forward.

“I always felt it was part of Michael’s genius with raising that bar, the level of competition and performance for our team every day just because of who he was. Nobody wanted to be left behind. He constantly pushed everybody forward.”
