Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri talked on a conference call about the NBA season suspension and the situation in the world during the coronavirus pandemic.

“We can want to plan the NBA all we want (and coming back) but something is going to stall that if we are not playing by the rules … everybody has to pay attention. And do what’s right. If not we’re not going to walk forward … This is the time for us to really isolate.”

As for the game, Ujiri said he missed it, but he is more concerned for the world. Furthermore, he added that there is no discussion around his and head coach Nick Nurse’s contract renewals.

“It’s not kind of where our minds are right now. It’s a crucial time for the world. Those things will come. Last thing on my mind. I miss the game … concerned for the world.”
