Adam Silver, the Commissioner of the NBA, was not surprised that four Brooklyn Nets players were tested positive for the coronavirus.
“In terms of the last four from the Brooklyn Nets, I honestly was not all that surprised. Given the lack of testing that’s available, my sense is…if you took almost any random group of New Yorkers that it would be likely there are going to be some positive tests,” Silver said in an interview with Rachel Nichols of ESPN.
Seven NBA players have been tested positive for the coronavirus so far. The league has decided to suspend the season for at least 30 days due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
