Phil Handy is one of the candidates to become the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets, per Brian Lewis of The New York Post.
“Handy, who was a developmental coach in Cleveland, is a Lakers assistant now thanks to LeBron James. Irving reportedly tried to get him to Brooklyn last July, and The Post spoke with Handy last week about Irving and the Nets job,” Lewis reports.
The Nets are in search for a new head coach, after they parted ways with Kenny Atkinson.
Tyronn Lue is considered the favourite to take over the team.
