The Brooklyn Nets are looking for potential additions to their coaching staff, after appointing Steve Nash as their new head coach.

According to YES Network’s Frank Isola, Mike D’Antoni and Phil Handy have become assistant candidates for the Brooklyn Nets, after the end of the NBA postseason.

Mike D’Antoni could reunite with Nash as he was his head coach with the Phoenix Suns. Nash flourished under D’Antoni in winning two straight MVP awards as an All-Star point guard.

The former Suns, Lakers, and Rockets head coach resigned from Houston, after being eliminated from the bubble playoffs. D’Antoni has a reputation for helping talented players in offense reach new highs in their careers.

On the other side, Phil Handy finished the season as an NBA champion being a member of the Los Angeles Lakers coaching staff this season.
