After the NBA announced the suspension of the season, everyone was affected. Basketball fans are finding ways to spend time other than watching basketball, players are doing other activities, teams are losing money. In the midst of this, former NBA champion Matt Barnes tried to find a silver lining.

According to him, the postponement of the games would mean the best players will have a chance to rest and recover. Should the season be resumed, the players would return with ever higher energy, which would make the best playoffs ever.

“If there’s any kind of silver lining, and it’s hard to address it now, but if you give these guys a break going into the playoffs and you build the anticipation of the NBA coming back, you’re giving the best players in the world an extra two, three, four weeks off,” Barnes said. “The energy in the playoffs is going to be off the charts. It’s going to be the best playoffs we’ve seen because everyone is fully rested and fully healthy.”

As of now, the season is suspended for at least 30 days. The NBA will review the suspension as this term comes closer to expiration.
