Terrence Ross became one of 3 players last night to post a stat line of only 35 points, in an Orlando loss to the Miami Heat, further showing his late season push for the 6th Man of the Year award.

Ross ended the night with 35 points off of 67% shooting from the field and 80% shooting from behind the arc (12/18 FG, 8/10 3PT), but despite his efforts, the Magic lost their 3rd game in a row and allowed the Heat to extend their streak to 4 wins.

Duncan Robinson’s 27 points and Goran Dragic’s 25 points off the bench gave the Heat the 3-point win, 116-113.

Since the All-Star break, Ross has been on fire for Orlando. He’s been averaging 23.7 points in 30 minutes over the 7 games, shooting 48% from the field and also 51% from behind the arc.

This season, Terrence Ross has showed, on nights, why the Magic signed him to a multi-million dollar contract, averaging 14.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists over 60 games.
