DeMarcus Cousins reflected on his days with the New Orleans Pelicans, stating that he and Anthony Davis could have done something special’ with the team.
“We clicked. It was, I believe, something special. I think we could’ve went on a run. Once we got everything around us correct, there was no stopping us,” Cousins told Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on the latest episode of the All The Smoke Podcast.
Cousins tore his Achilles tendon in 2018 and the Pelicans then chose not to re-sign him in the summer of 2018. A few months later, Davis requested a trade from the Pelicans.
Prior to his injury, Cousins was averaging 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds.
