After winning NBA titles with the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors, Kawhi Leonard has a new challenge – to repeat his success with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Should he win the title with Clippers and if he is the Finals MVP, that would put him in the GOAT conversation, says basketball analyst Doug Gottlieb.

Although he admits it wouldn’t automatically make Leonard the GOAT.

“If Kawhi wins 3 championships with 3 franchises, and he’s Finals MVP, he’s in the GOAT conversation. Kawhi was the best player last year, he’s trending to be the best player this year. How many years do have to be the best player before he’s in that conversation?”

The two-time NBA champion and Final MVP is averaging 27.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game this season.

The Clippers are sitting third in the Western Conference and are looking to at least secure home court advantage in the playoffs.
