Lou Williams of the Los Angeles Clippers paid tribute to the late Kobe Bryant, who he was teammates with while playing for the Lakers.

The song titled “24” will be included in Williams’ new six-song EP “Syx Piece” which is coming out tomorrow (February 14).

Per Joe Price of Complex:

“I just wanted to write an open letter to a dear friend of mine,” he told Complex about the song. “Mamba mentality I’m just tryna’ be great,” he starts the track. “Look at my wrist you see a trophy/I’m just tryna’ be like Kobe.”

Kobe and Williams were teammates during the 2015-2016 season, which was Bryant’s last season before retirement.
