Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle shared his thoughts on the absence of Luka Doncic and the stellar performance of Kristaps Porzingis vs the Pacers.
“We’ve done this enough now where guys are really getting a feel for how to play with each other when Luka’s out, which is good for when Luka’s out, but we need Luka back.
They’ve played enough great basketball together to where I know that they’re great together. Just because one guy’s not getting huge numbers every night — one guy is, one guy isn’t — that doesn’t mean anything. It’s all about winning,” Carlisle told reporters, via Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News.
Porzingis went for a season-high 38 points against the Indiana Pacers, while Doncic is dealing with an ankle injury and will return to action next week.
