Carmelo Anthony has returned to the NBA through the Portland Trail Blazers, being one of the “feel good” stories of the season and a great fit for his team.

As a result, Anthony claimed that he wants to stay in Portland next season, being the perfect place for him to retire from the game.

“I would love to stay,” he said to Kerry Eggers of the “Portland Tribune”. “I feel like this is the place for me to end my career. It could have happened earlier, but it didn’t. Now, where I’m at in my life and my career — this is where I want to retire.”

Anthony adds further offensive productivity for the Blazers, besides Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, averaging 16.1 points and 6.5 rebounds on 43% shooting from the field and 38% from the three-point line so far this season.
