Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray was forced to exit the game against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, due to an ankle injury.

Murray played for only 15 minutes before leaving the game. He had X-rays afterwards that came back negative.

“I think the X-rays are negative. I do not know how long he is going to be out. Obviously he has had an issue with ankle injuries. I just looked at it and it is rather large which is kind of scary.

He rolled it and those are scary because those injures — aside from being painful — you don’t want to have Jamal Murray miss [an] extended period of time. Hopefully, it is not as bad as it looks and we can get him back,” the Nuggets head coach Mike Malone said.

Murray has been averaging 7.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals this season.
