Here’s KJ Simpson describing what he hopes to bring as a Denver Nugget this summer/going forward (finished 2025-26 on a two-way contract with Denver after being waived by the Charlotte Hornets back in early February).

“Honestly, just trying to prove myself. I felt like this past season, the other team I was on, I didn’t really get a fair opportunity to really showcase my summer and the work I put in, and I was ready to kinda make that leap. But obviously, I’m here with Denver and they’ve given me an unbelievable opportunity. And even though I came late, I felt welcomed from the team, organization, obviously the fans cuz of what I did at CU [University of Colorado]. So, I just really want to go out there and just prove myself and just go show I’m somebody who can compete and be on this team. I’ve devoted my summer here. I mean, since playoffs, I’ve been right here starting my summer workouts. I didn’t go back home. I stayed right here. So, I’m just excited to just showcase it in summer league.”
