Boston Celtics GM and President of Basketball Operations, Danny Ainge, admitted that his team is not the best in the league right now.
“Listen, I won’t be satisfied until we’re the best team in the NBA and I don’t see us as the best team in the NBA right now.
But, I like our team a lot. It’s a really fun team to be around. There’s a lot of hope; there’s a lot of growth and I’m excited for the rest of this year,” Ainge said per Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.
“Just because I don’t think we’re the best team in the NBA doesn’t mean that my players and my coaches don’t think they’re the best team in the NBA, which is way more important than what I think,” Ainge added.
The Celtics are on a three-game losing streak at the moment and have a 25-11 record.
