The Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons have been discussing a trade around Andre Drummond, but no deal is imminent.

The Pistons are open to moving Drummond and they are talking to “several other teams” including the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors.

Despite a losing record of 7-27, the Atlanta Hawks have been looking for additional talent to help their young duo of Trae Young and John Collins.

The Hawks’ struggles this year mean that they would be trading for Drummond in hopes to re-sign him for the future.

Drummond can become a free agent after this season if he declines his player option for 2020-2021.

The 26-year-old is having a career year, averaging a career-high 17.6 points and a league-leading 15.8 rebounds per game.

With the Pistons struggling with a record of 12-23, there’s an increasing belief that Drummond will be traded before the Feb. 6 deadline.
