Alexandar Rasic was just a step away from Olympiacos, but thanks to… Red Star Belgrade, his case is more difficult than expected which forces the Reds to examine more options.

Lietuvos Rytas was willing to let Rasic go in the frame of getting Nemanja Nedovic of Red Star. The Serbian club’s staff however decided in the last minute not to let Nedovic go, despite Olympiacos willingness to loan out Marko Keselj to Red Star.

Subsequently Olympiacos tried in vain to convince Rytas to let Rasic go by offering Keselj on load so the Lithuania club can cover the loss of Brad Newley.

After all this Olympiacos started considering Acie Law who left Partizan a few days ago. Yet the Serbian Champions still hold the Letter of Clearance of the player and are unlikely to let him go without some sort of buyout.
