Carmelo Anthony is not thinking of retiring from basketball yet, but being 35-years-old it’s something he will get asked about. Ahead of the Blazers’ game with the Knicks, Melo was asked whether his jersey should be retired by the Knicks.

Anthony answered, via Stefan Bondy of The New York Daily News: “We’ll see when that time comes. Hopefully, they’ll hang ‘7’ somewhere up there.”

Melo was a Knick through 2010-2011 to 2016-2017. In 412 games with the Knicks, Anthony averaged 24.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.2 assists, per Ashish Mathur of ClutchPoints.

This season, Anthony is averaging 15.7 points and 6.2 rebounds in 31.5 minutes per game for the Blazers.
