Avellino’s President, Giuseppe Sampietro decided to resign and will pass the management of the club to Mayor Galasso.
Officials of the Campania region in Italy decided to pass an amendmend which forbids sports clubs to have sponsors and that leaves Avellino without the important contribution of “Air”.
“I am dissapointed, but this season is absolutely not in question. We have to win against Cremona, because participation in the Italian Cup will provide a little oxygen financially” comented Sampietro in La Gazzetta dello Sport.
