The Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James says he is proud of Blazers’ Carmelo Anthony, who was named Western Conference Player of the Week after helping lead the team to a 3-0 record last week:

“Proud of him. I don’t know if he needed to hear it or not, but I’m fu*king proud of him. Like, really like a blood brother. It’s like, when people throwing stones on you and trying to bury you alive and you able to rise above that shit? That’s amazing. Sh*t kind of hit home. It’s a beautiful thing. Beautiful thing. Only the strong survive,” James said, per The Athletic.

Through eight games this season, Anthony has been averaging 16.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.6 steals per game, while shooting at 44.8% from the field.
