Euroleague finalist Maccabi Tel Aviv officially announced the signing of Jordan Farmar. The 24-year-old point guard arrives from New Jersey Nets where he spent last season.

Farmar, who is Jewish, will be eligible to play as Israeli in the domestic league. He started NBA career with Los Angeles Lakers and played there for four seasons winning two championships.

Athleticism is one of the most notable skills of Farmar whose vertical leap 1.1 m while his height is 1.88 m.

Farmar averaged 9.6 points, 5 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game for the Nets last season.

In case NBA lockout is resolved Farmar will have to return to New Jersey Nets.
